I am having issues with enforcing HTTPS on subdomains. Every time I try to apply it I get a notification that I have to apply a SSL cert first. I can confirm that there is a SSL cert applied to the domain and subdomains.

    Hello @willoftheweb

I tried to replicate the issue on my end but to no avail. The HTTPS Enforce was enabled successfully and the required .htaccess rules applied.

When the option is enabled we test if you have valid SSL installed and then apply the additional changes in order to prevent issues if indeed there is no SSL certificate in place.

If you are a SiteGround client I would recommend you to open a Helpdesk request through your Client Area and our Technical Support department will review what could be causing this issue on your subdomain.

In case you are not our client, please provide us with an example of a subdomain that experiences this problem and we will do the SSL validation tests to confirm the output.

    Best regards,
    Georgi
