I am using Yoast SEO free plugin on my website, with Woocommerce installed.

I receive this warning from Google search console recently:

    Top Warnings

Warnings are suggestions for improvement. Some warnings can affect your appearance on Search; some might be reclassified as errors in the future. The following warnings were found on your site:

No global identifier provided (e.g., gtin, mpn, isbn)

    Missing field “aggregateRating”

    Missing field “review”

    Missing field “brand”

We recommend that you fix these issues when possible to enable the best experience and coverage in Google Search.

I did a search and found that some posts say that this has got to do with issues with my structured data. And one of the solutions suggested is to add a Woocommerce schema plugin. Is this going to conflict with the schema output from Yoast SEO?

Await a reply from someone who knows how to solve this. Thanks

  • Hello @woollycroak!

You need to compare the output from the plugin you will use with the one the Yoast plugins generate and check if there are conflicts or sets of duplicate schema data. In the “Output per Plugin” section on this article, you can find all the information about what schema data each of our plugins create.

More details about the warnings you encounter below.

No global identifier provided (e.g., gtin, mpn, isbn)
You can specify the global identifier directly by editing a product under the WooCommerce product data meta box → Yoast SEO (tab).

Missing field “aggregateRating” / Missing field “review”
To add the rating and review data, each product needs to have at least one review. These properties are created by WooCommerce. They are recommended but not required for each product.

    Missing field “brand”
You’ll need to configure the WooCommerce SEO brands and manufacturer options. You may follow the steps here.

    hello @onlyincebu rumejan
    Thank you for your response

But I navigate to the site to follow the instructions. But my Yoast 14.5 has a different interface to that of the one on the site. I couldn’t find where woocommerce SEO settings are. Or is that a different plugin by Yoast? I tried to find a plugin for woocommerce SEO but couldn’t find one.

Can you elaborate on where I can change these settings under Yoast SEO?

    Hello,

We want to clarify that Yoast WooCommerce SEO plugin is a paid add-on plugin that will work with either the free or premium version of Yoast SEO for WordPress. When you install and configure this plugin, it will work together with Yoast SEO and WooCommerce to output the necessary structured data such as GTIN and reviews that will work with the structured output of the main plugin — https://yoast.com/help/aggregaterating-review-offer-required/

    Hi @woollycroak ,

We’re closing this thread as there seem no further questions from you. Please feel free to open a new thread should you have further concerns.
