Issues with slow or no loading and ISP Talktalk UK

    Hi – I cannot get into my wordpress admin or if I do it takes about 3-5 mins for each load page. I’ve also lost images etc.

    It loads ok via 3g but not via wifi.

    My ISP is talk talk i called them – they tested my line and broadband and said everything was fine and there was nothing they could do. They reset my MTU to 1.4.3.2 and DNS is 8.8.8.8 2nd: 8.8.4.2.

    My cloud hosting is tso and they said everything was fine their end.

    All other websites load with no issue – just wordpress and wordpress admin.

    Nothing works – can anyone help please I’m completely stuck, and don’t know what’s going on.

    Try:
    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Re. Switching to the default theme. Can’t I just do that by deactivating the them in the settings ? What’s the reason behind doing it the way you suggest?

    What settings – given that you cannot login to your admin area?

    Oh i see why you said that now. No i can log in to wp admin SOMETIMES – it’s very sporadic – and normally takes about 4 mins to log in but it does sometimes – everything sorta workks but each page takes about 3 – 4 mins to load.
