• Hello,

I am very happy that you have implemented an option to specify exceptions for a date range (hope you will also add that to the business profile plugin).

Unfortunately there are major issues with this.

The link I shared is a video where I show the following issues.

    00:00 Normal opening hours Wednesday – Sunday 10:00 – 21:30

00:30 Close a date range when normally open.
It does close the date range but it also opens the entire day for every other day.

01:37 Open for a date range where normally closed.
    For example open 14-15 march (Mo+Tu) from 16:00 – 21:00
Does work for the specified dates, but it also opens the entire day for every other day.

02:55 Different opening hours from normal open hours
    For example change 23-24 march 16:00 – 23:00
Doesn’t work, it opens the entire day

Looks like this hasn’t been properly been tested with real life use cases.

Hope you can fix this soon.

    Thanks
    JP

    Hi John,

Thanks for providing your detailed feedback on the issues with the latest feature. We have been able to reproduce these issues and they are fixed. The fixes for the issues will be shipped with the next update of the plugin.

Cool thank you! Can you provide an ETA for the update with the fix?

    Hi,

Why didn’t you test v2.5.2 with the exact same steps I gave you in my video ???

I did and only one out of the three issues I reported is fixed but it also introduced a new issue…!

Single date exceptions do work, so to not complicate this whole new feature you should probably think of creating single date records for the entered date range.

Here are my new test results. Please fix and test! Also feel free to send me a fixed version before you release it here.

    00:00 Normal opening hours Wednesday – Sunday 10:00 – 21:30

*** Test Date Range exceptions ***

00:30 Close a date range when normally open.
It does close the date range but it also opens the entire day for every other day.
    ? 2.5.2 same issue

01:37 Open for a date range where normally closed.
    For example open 14-15 march (Mo+Tu) from 16:00 – 21:00
Does work for the specified dates, but it also opens the entire day for every other day.
    ? 2.5.2 same issue

02:55 Different opening hours from normal open hours
    For example change 23-24 march 16:00 – 23:00
Doesn’t work, it opens the entire day
? 2.5.2 works now for selected dates
? BUT it also opens the entire day for every other day.

*** Test Single Date exceptions ***

Close a date that is normaly open
    ? 2.5.2 ok

Open a date that is normaly closed
    ? 2.5.2 ok

Change hours of normal open day
    ? 2.5.2 ok`

Thank you for your input. We’re in the process of reviewing what you mentioned and testing on our end. We did originally test with the parameters you mentioned, but did not get the issues you are now referencing. If we require further input, we will let you know. Otherwise, we will release an update (can’t provide an ETA as we haven’t confirmed if/what the issues are that could be causing the behaviour you’re seeing) with any required changes.

    Hi,

Try testing with the free version only.

I just re-tested with the premium version and then it works as expected.

Then I tested again on another website with just the free version, and then I get the same issues as I reported in this ticket.

    Thanks

Ok, version 2.5.3 finally has it right!

    Thanks
