• Hey, when I log in to all of my wordpress accounts, I am not able to do so and what happens is I get a ‘download’ message come up on my bottom left screen. I have tried to change passwords from my email but the same problem remains.

One of them for example sake is https://www.manvsclock.com

I have an email from my server hosts saying a security
vulnerability with a script called timthumb.php, which is
commonly used for uploading and sizing images in PHP
    applications, especially WordPress.

    Then going on to say:

Please note: We did not delete your old timthumb.php script.
We renamed it timthumb.renamed.txt and left it in the same
directory that it had been in previously.

“While we’ve taken precautions to minimize any issues this
security update might cause, we encourage you to review your
website functionality and make sure that everything is working
as you have come to expect.”

I’m guessing this is a connection with my error? Thanks!

    Anthony

  • No – there’s an issue with your theme or one of your plugins. Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    Hey Esmil,
I have been assured that this problem is sorted, however I am unable to log into my wordpress admin for my sites and I am now greeted with the error message:

    No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

This happens on all of my websites. Any ideas grateful, thanks.

Dud you try any of the steps I listed above?

Sorry about my delay in responding. It seems that I had a virus and I sorted it through the FTP like you said, apparently there’s one going around. Thank you ??
