Issues with Media Replace and WPML

  • I think this plugin has issues with WPML

    We have a site with approx 10 different language sites.

    If we upload a file in media manager, its available to use in all languages fine.

    if then we are in one of the sites, USA for example (default) and use media replace, and we do choose to replace all files and links to it, it only changes the file for the US site. It does not change it for all the other language sites.

    So if when we then go to a language site to link to the new file manually, FR for example, we cant find the image in the media list as media replace only did it for USA. So its not translated like WPML would if you upload it using media manager.

    Worse still, we are missing loads of files that we replaced using media replace. So all the WPML language sites have 404s on files since we used Media replace to change them on the US site. Its messed up our media on WMPL quite a bit, we have to stop using media replace.

    This looks like it is indeed an issue with EMR not working well with WPML. If you have a staging website where we can see this issue in action we’d appreciate you providing us with access to it.
