• I’m using the free Kale theme but for some reason, the featured posts is not working correctly. My website is https://www.thaifoodparadise.com

    In the settings for Appearance-Front Page-Featured Posts, I have all three featured posts set to “Best Restaurants In Chiang Mai 2017”. But as you can see, nothing shows up under Featured Posts.

    Initially, even when I had the featured posts changed to “Best Restaurants In Chiang Mai 2017”, the only posts the theme showed in that area was the default “hello world” post that comes on WordPress. I deleted that post permanently and now all three posts in the Featured Posts area have disappeared.

    My initial thought is that there is a place to edit the URLs that Featured Post is linked to, but I can’t find it. Can someone help me please?

  • Hi there,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    Please go to Appearance → Customize → Front Page → Featured Posts and select chosen posts from the dropdown list in Post 1-3 fields. Remember to save all changes.

    Hope that helps. Thank you for your time in this.

    Best regards

    Hi, I have the setting exactly like that in my theme but still nothing shows up on Featured Posts. My suspicion is that the featured posts are somehow linked to a particular URL inside the theme’s code and I don’t know how to change that.

    Still no idea how to fix this. The site is set up as you instructed, but the featured posts remains blank.

    Hi there

    I had exactly the same problem with my website but I managed to fix it. My problem was that my posts were still in ‘draft’ or ‘private’ mode. Once I published them, made the visibility public and clicked the box ‘stick to front page’ then I was able to add the posts as featured images.

    Hope this works for you too.

    @heatherandles Thanks for the insight!

    @roro1990 Please check that all the posts you’re assigning as Featured Posts are published. If it still doesn’t work, please either show us a screenshot of what you see or show us the URL where this is happening. The theme code does not link to any specific posts, other than the ones you yourself define from Appearance > Customize > Front Page > Featured Posts.
