• The website I’m looking after runs entirely in HTTPS. However, because the crossref.min.js file is pulled in from an external source over HTTP, it is blocked by the browser because it is considered insecure and “unsafe”.

I’ve attempted to de-regester and re-register the script with a HTTPS URL in functions.php, but I’m not having any success with that. For the time being, I’ve had to disable the plugin.

Tested with Chrome 40.0.2214.111 (Windows) and Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.17631 (Windows).

  • I have the same issue. Is there a version of this plugin that works on https?

I contacted Crossway support for this plugin via email, and the response I received Feb 21 2015, was that they will be working on using only HTTPS in a future update.

For the time being, I’ve left this plugin installed but disabled, hopeful of the HTTPS update.
