I recently created a gallery using the grid layout, but I’m experiencing multiple issues. First, the grid doesn’t align properly, and some images appear misaligned or overlap. Second, the image captions are not displaying, even though I enabled them in the gallery settings. I tried adjusting the gallery CSS, but it didn’t help.

Additionally, the gallery loads very slowly, which affects my site’s performance. Could this be due to image size or an optimization issue? I’d appreciate any troubleshooting steps to resolve these problems.

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help troubleshoot these issues. Based on your description, here are a few things to check:

    1. Grid Layout Misalignment & Overlapping Images. This issue could be caused by a conflict with your theme or another plugin. Try switching to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-Four) to see if the grid aligns properly. Go to Gallery Settings > Compatibility Settings and try switching to an alternative rendering mode. If you’ve applied custom CSS, temporarily remove it to check if it’s affecting the layout.

    2. Captions Not Displaying. Double-check your gallery settings to ensure captions are enabled and defined.

    3. Slow Loading Gallery. Large image sizes can impact performance. Try optimizing images before uploading using tools like TinyPNG or Smush. In Gallery Settings, enable caching and image lazy loading to speed up load times.

If your gallery contains a large number of images, consider using pagination or organizing them into categories to improve performance.

If the issue persists, please share a link to your gallery, and we’ll be happy to take a closer look!
