Issues with Bota theme

I was looking for information to disable the sidebar on the home page of the bota theme. I had found some topics on it and I went into editing and found the functions.php. After selecting that, I entered in the information that I had found on it and hit update. After doing so, I got this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas10_data01/40/2803540/html/wp-content/themes/bota/functions.php on line 503

I hit the page back button, deleted what I had put in and hit update again. Now that is the only thing I get. I’m unable to get to my dashboard or anything.

Can someone please help.
