    I deactivate the plugins, delete the wp-admin and wp-includes files, and download 2.6 from wp’s official download link. Go to domain/wp-admin and I get this:

    Warning: require_once(../wp-load.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/zacharyr/public_html/theblogosaurus.com/wp-admin/admin.php on line 7

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘../wp-load.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/zacharyr/public_html/theblogosaurus.com/wp-admin/admin.php on line 7

    Please help.

    You failed to upload ALL of the files. Reupload WordPress to your site.

    Specifically, the files in the ROOT directory matter too.

    I have to upload /wp-contents as well? Every single file in the 2.6 download needs to be put on my root? I thought anything outside of wp-admin/wp-includes was a bad idea for saving any/all content on your blog. In past upgrades I simply updated the the two said folders and it was fine. Please help!

    Well, mainly you need to upload the files in the ROOT directory. Like, say, the new wp-load.php file?

    ALL WordPress files should be upgraded. Everything included in the WordPress.zip file.
