    Hi @chrisbdm

Is this occurring on a standard WordPress post or page or is it on a custom post type or a product?

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

Could you test this out with just the latest version of the Divi theme and only the Yoast SEO plugin and see if you are still able to replicate the issue?

Hi! I too am using Divi and having similar issues. I cannot access the Divi Builder but i also cannot change several settings or create new users.
I switched to the TwentyTwentyTwo theme to troubleshoot, deactivated all plugins then reactivated one by one to find the naughty one…it was Yoast ?? I have tried rolling back to previous versions of Yoast but alas, the issue persists.

Also worth mentioning that the Site Health tool does not work when Yoast is activated.

Does the error happen when you try to save? If yes, there should be something showing up in the server logs, or maybe the network browser shows a 5xx request that may contain some additional data.

    No words found in SEO
I see your screenshot shows ‘Text contains 0 words’. This usually happens if you are using a page builder. In this case, you have Divi. Yoast SEO analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO for WordPress may not be able to detect it by default. Currently, we are compatible with the Elementor page builder. The Yoast SEO Elementor integration is fully-featured and free to use for everyone; no premium or add-on is required for core functionality.

Since you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the author or developer to request an integration feature for better SEO compatibility. Our development team provides information about creating a custom integration here.

Although our plugin does not detect your content and shows an incorrect analysis report, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.

@maybellyne Thank you for your advice.

I use the Divi theme and Yoast on my other WordPress sites without any issues. On this site, it still continues to cause trouble.

Maybe its time Yoast recognised the popularity of Divi and began working on a similar integration package as you’ve done for Elementor. Unless Elementor have paid Yoast to do this and in turn make Yoast more exclusive to working with Elementor only?

Anyway, I hope someone future update might just get it back to working normally.

    Hi,

We’ll add your feedback in our internal repository for our plugin to have better compatibility with Divi. However, we aren’t able to provide any ETA for this.

Please do note that our plugin works with the standard WordPress block editor, and these page builders build on top of the standard functionality, which is why our content analysis may not be able to provide accurate assessments. We did try an implementation in the past with mixed results, which is why we provide documentation here – https://developer.yoast.com/customization/yoast-seo/adding-custom-data-analysis/

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.

To resolve the issue, I completely reinstalled WordPress which seems to have resolved the issue this time but it would be good for you to consider other theme/site builders such as Divi when developing future versions rather than focusing on just one. You can close this down as the issue, so far, has not reappeared after reinstallation of WordPress.
