• Hello,

I encounter the following errors in my php log and the upload fails as well as the switch to the Insert view page.

I have deactivated all plugins except pixabay.

Here is a video demonstrating the issue: https://www.useloom.com/share/f11e05fe66e64d42903d7e532a83597b

    Please advise.

Just wanted to check up on this, are there any updates?

Do you have at least any clues?

    Hi Cristian,

I’m not sure if this is related to the Pixabay plugin. I can’t see anything that related to the plugin code in your error message.

    Best,
    Simon

    Hello Simon,

    Sorry for my late reply.

All plugins on the site are disabled, the only one I was running was this one, as you can also see in the video provided.

Also, to be noted that these logs appear only when I click an image (when the upload happens I assume).

The issues are the following: 1) the upload process is buggy and not all thumbnails are being generated properly. 2) the image is not getting added to the post after selecting it as you can see from the video, you need to go and re-select it manually from the gallery.

Awaiting your reply with high interest.

    Best regards,
    ~Cristian

    Hello Simon,

I use the plugin “pixabay insert pictures” in the WordPress themes twenty-fourteen and GeneratePress to get pictures from pixabay.com for my pages and posts. Unfortunately the download of the pictures does not take place correctly. When the selected image is downloaded, it darkens slightly and overlays with passing dots, which takes some time without anything visibly happening. When I look in the media library for one or two minutes, I see what has been downloaded, but not the full picture. I see a placeholder that does not contain data about the image source.
    For example: abordeaux / Pixabay.
Whether there is a connection between the update to WordPress 4.9.6 on May 18, 2018 I can not say. My last download of images from Pixabay was on May 16, 2018
    Thanks.

    Best regards, A garden friend

    Hello, @simonstone,

I just want to come back on this as we are actively using this plugin and need a fix.

To add on to what Simon said earlier, the problem came after the last update.

Here are the hosting specifications maybe it can help in debugging:
WP 4.9.6 running on NGINX with PHP 7.1 and the DB is Percona 5.6.

If you can help me with some insights from where this issue can occur since the last update I am able to have a look and try to debug further.

    Best regards,
    ~Cristian

@gartenfreund2006: This seems to be a different issue – possible only caused by a slow connection.

@cristian: I really wish I could help. But that’s the only report we have on this and I cannot reproduce it on our end.

I’m experiencing something similar. When I click on on an image to upload, it just sits there with the upload process continuing forever. When I look in the uploads directory, the file is there, but the download doesn’t complete. The file does show in the WordPress images library, but doesn’t display the image since the download wasn’t completed.

The image title is there, but no credits are shown in the media library. It never places the image in the content.

This looks like a great tool for us, but unfortunately, we can’t seem to get it to work.

Please update me on anything that I could try to get this working.

    Thanks,
    Scott
