I’m having some issues setting up the permalinks of locations in wp-events-manager plaugin. I have created custom taxonomy which is now visible in “add location” form.

I want to set up my location plugins like this:

    domain.com/places/custom-taxonomy/custom-taxonomy-child/post-name

There’s an option in the events manager setting pages where I can set up permalinks for locations. So the point is what do I write there?

    places/%WHAT-DO-I-WRITE-HERE%/%DO-I-NEED-TO-WRITE-ANYTHING-HERE%/

  • If I understand correctly, custom-taxonomy-child in your example URL will be dynamic? In which case, you can’t set it up using the settings page because variables can’t be used there.

You’d need to write your own custom code – using the WordPress rewrite rule functions – to allow this kind of URL structure.
