Issues : Photos – Menu – Slider – Search box

  • Hello,

    First, let me tell you that I love hueman so much. But honestly, the latest version is the worst so far. I wish I had read the topics in here before updating it.
    I had soooo many issues with the latest version. I fixed some but I couldn’t for the others…
    1. The slider has disappeared from the home page (I had to choose the option of the standard posts showing so I won’t have a huge blank space).
    2. Images aren’t loading/showing at all!! Even images inserted from external hosts (like Amazon).
    3. The sub-menu’s background color is so light. We almost can’t read what it’s written…
    4. The search box doesn’t open (issue from the last version and still going on).
    5. The word “Share” of the social media share tool is hidden. I can see only the half of the word…

    I hope that these issues will be fixed because it’s really annoying to serve a website that doesn’t display properly to visitors…

    I fixed most of the issues. The search box still doesn’t load when clicking on it. The posts are repeating in the slider and then after the slider (a new issue!)…

    Hi,

    If you are using a child theme with custom css and custom templates.
    I suggest you to revert back your Hueman Theme on your live site.

    Setup localhost on your computer and clone your live site on it.
    On your localhost clone, do the customization fixes on your child theme with current Hueman theme version.

    Update your live site with your child theme, after you had managed to fix your customization issues.

    Sorry, I am not able to replicate this issue. There is no problem with image loading. You can check for plugin conflict by using the following steps.

    1) If you are using a server cache or cache plugin, please clear it’s cache content and disable caching via it’s settings.

    2) Proceed to disable one plugin at a time, clear browser history and re-visit your images. Check if it’s working properly.

    Do this until you find the plugin that’s causing this issue, please replace with an alternative plugin.

    Thanks for the reply. I guess there is a conflit with W3 Total Cache pluging. They updated few days ago and it’s ruining my theme. I fixed most of the issue but I still have some minor stuff to do.

    Hi @heddo, I’m glad to read that the cache was the cause of most of the problem.
    Are there any issues remaining ?

    Hello Nicolas,

    I hope so. I’m not very technical and I spent over 8 hours to fix these issues. I still have some small issues : Sometimes, scrolling is impossible on the website. I don’t know why… I discover also that I have a blank space under the pages. The sidebar is shown at the end of tha page too… Is that caused by W3tc? I don’t know. I’m still running some tests.
    If I noticed something new, I will post it here.
