Without knowing of the min req, I upgraded to 331 and it doesn’t because the hosting department will not upgrade to 5.4. If i can’t upgrade to 5.4 then i am not able to use it with my site.

Here is my work around!!! To no disrespect to the creator Don, I can provide an earlier version of the plugin plugin at 3.2.1 version which i have tested it it works with this current version of WP and 5.3 of PHP.

Once again I apologize if Don doesn’t want it available but if another person can’t upgrade the php because of the hosting company won’t then try this earlier version.

To Don…if this is something you disapprove of…please delete this message…

@caliph3001 the link to the 3rd-party site has been removed.

Please contact your hosting company/department and ask them to reconsider upgrading to PHP 5.4+.

PHP ended SECURITY support for PHP 5.4 a month ago, PHP 5.2 & 5.3 stopped getting these years ago. If your hosting isn’t willing to upgrade to security-supported versions of PHP, then you’re on your own. Sorry.

caliph3001 , I would be interested in your link that supports 5.3
I’m in the same situation as you do as my hosting company doesn’t want to upgrade their PHP version and I’m in need to use the Add From Server plugin.

Can you send me the link directy to [email redacted] ?

    Thanks

Just ran into this issue myself.

I have moved my WP installation to an upgraded server with PHP version 5.5.9.

Deleted and reinstalled the plugin but get the alert saying my version of php is still the version on the previous server.

How do I activate the plugin?

@digitd Your PHP version hasn’t changed, you’re still running whatever version of PHP the plugin says you are, the plugin checks it every pageload.

Chances are, either you’re viewing the site on the old server, or your server is configured for a specific version of PHP for your site (not 5.5.9).
