    Hello,

Since updating WordPress and the AMP plugin yesterday, I’ve been getting dozens of errors flashing on my WordPress editor in every single post. Almost every block now shows errors –

Here’s an example from just one block of a particular post –

There are 7 issues from AMP validation.

    Invalid attribute: a
    Invalid attribute: tab
    Invalid attribute: noopener
    Invalid attribute: a
    Invalid attribute: tab
    Invalid attribute: noopener

Almost all places I see only the above error and in some instances I see the anchor text (in places of outgoing links) also shown as Invalid attribute.

I’ve never seen this before today.

Could you please help in identifying where the problem would be?

    Hello @notjustshrawan

Can you please share a page URL where you are facing the issue, Also are you using any block plugins, and if you recently updated them?

    Hi Milind,

Here are the errors from the first paragraph of this page –

There are 4 issues from AMP validation.

    Invalid attribute: economic
    Invalid attribute: a
    Invalid attribute: tab
    Invalid attribute: noopener

I’m not aware of using any Block plugins, I use Generatepress theme.

    Hello @notjustshrawan

Thanks for the page URL, yes those are invalid attributes and need to be removed so the AMP plugin removes them to create valid AMP pages.

It may be the rank math plugin may be adding those invalid attributes (screenshot), I will recommend re-checking after deactivating rank math plugin to confirm.

You are right, once I disabled RankMath, this issue was gone. So do i have to bring this issue up with their support team? I have another site where we have the same combination of RankMath and AMP, but I don’t see the errors generated there after the upgrade yesterday. Any reason for this?

    Hello @notjustshrawan

Yes, please report the issue to the Rank Math support team, regarding no issue on another site it may be related to configuration/setting, which is disabled on that site.
