Issues editing slide with IE10 or less
-
Hi all
Sorry if this has already been answered but I’ve searched and cannot find anyone else who has highlighted this problem.
I have recently inherited a customer’s WP site which had not been updated in a long while. Obviously one of the first actions was to update WP core and plugins. Everything was tested and looked ok.
However the customer has found what appears to be a bug when editing a slide, which only appears in IE10 and below. IE11 is ok, along with other modern browsers.
Unfortunately the customer works within an organization are unable (or unwilling) to upgrade the browser, at least at the moment.
The problem is when you edit a slide and add/modify a custom URL. Added the link and clicking update update everything appears to have worked. But when you go back into the slide it has failed to save the link.
I’ve tested this on a VM with debug mode enabled and noted a console error of “Unable to get property ‘setting’ of undefined or null reference” in editor-pages.min.js, line 1 character 4894.
Not sure if this is relevant, may be a red herring.
Any help would be appreciated.
