Issues changing from discontinued premium version to free

    Hello!

    My WC version is 2.5.3
    My WCCM is 3.8

    I saw the note: “The Premium Plugin – WooCommerce Checkout Manager Pro – has been discontinued, please de-activate this Plugin and install this free Plugin which has more functionality and fixes. The Pro Plugin has been discontinued and the key registration engine within the Pro Plugin connects to a domain that no longer exists.”

    So I deactivated this plugin, and tried to install the free version. But it fails. I receive this message:
    “installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/heatingg/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-checkout-manager/

    Plugin install failed.”

    Do I need to DELETE my premium WCCM, then install the free one? I wanted to ask, because I’m nervous of deleting fields that are currently in my checkout that will cause issues with customer orders.

    Please advise ??

  • Hi evelynheatinggreen, just cleaning up old topics. You need to delete the existing Pro Plugin as WordPress cannot override the same directory.
