    Good day,

We have a self hosted WordPress site: https://highwaymusic.co.za

I have followed the post of majsterjelenia, from 1 year 1 month ago. I tried the solution given by the supportgent, Jonathan -WPMU DEV, but to no avail.

My issue is that I used the Smush plugin to optimise (resize) my pictures on my site, but decided to deactivate it, after it served its purpose. Now all my pictures have vanished.

I tried the regenrate thumbnails solution but this did not help.

Is there anything else I can try?

    Really would appreciate assistance.
    regards
    Vanessa

  • Hi @magoose2021 ,

Do the images display again when you re-activate the Smush plugin?

    Hi @magoose2021,

Sorry to hear you’re having issues after deactivating Smush, although this shouldn’t happen as Smush doesn’t remove any images from your site, it simply replaces original ones with the optimized versions.

Based on the information provided my best guess at the moment is that there’s some caching, perhaps from Smush Lazy Load, left somewhere which is causing the issue you are having.

Can you make sure that any site and server side caching that you have running is disabled?

Is it possible to disable the coming soon mode on your site as this would allow us to inspect the missing images and see what the problem might be.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
