Issue With Yoast Sitemap

    Hello All

    I am facing an issue with the yoast sitemap. Our services pages url’s were changed from “our_services” to “services/…” But currently in sitemap it shows as “our_services-sitemap.xml” & I need to get it update as “services-sitemap.xml”

    It is through YOAST plugin. Our services pages are also not indexed. Although we have inspect & request for indexing 2 days ago.

    Kindly update.

    Thanks for reaching out here. Yoast SEO sitemap doesn’t detect the child sitemap’s name from the URLs but detects from the public post types label. So, if the URL of your services pages changed from our_services to services, it doesn’t mean the public custom post types label is changed.

    That said, it doesn’t matter what name the child sitemaps contain as long as the URLs of your services pages updated that appear on the our_servies-sitemap.xml. Do you see the updated URLs in the relevant sitemap?
