    Hello!
could please help me with the following issue?

After updating my wordpress and my plugins, yoast started giving this error, when trying to edit the snippet: https://i.imgur.com/NbeijLa.png

I Have tracked it down to a compatibility problem with the AMP For WordPress plugin, meaning that when I disable AMP for WordPress, the yoast seo box starts working again.

The console error reads as you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/7oXwVlI.png.

    My setup is as follows:
    Wordpress 5.5.1
    AMP for wordpress – 2.0.5
    Yoast Seo 15.1.1

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’m unable to reproduce the same issue from my side. Can you try check whether the same issue arises when after following the steps below:

    1. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    2. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    3. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to both the AMP and Yoast plugins
    4. Check whether the same issue arises

You can exit troubleshooting mode afterwards.

If you encounter the same result please share your Site Health information and full error logs privately using this form we can investigate.

    Hello and thanks!
I have provided all the answer that I could find.
I should mention that I have also posted a ticket on the Yoast support board.
I should also mention that I am using WpRocket, but all the minify JS / minify css options are off.

Thanks for sharing, we’ve received that now, I’ll try and reproduce the same issue.

In the meantime can you confirm from your side if the same issue arises with just the AMP Plugin and Yoast active in troubleshooting mode as mentioned above (using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin)?

    Yes, I can confirm.
I also went through the manual troubleshooting procedure, by disabling all plugins and enabling them one by one. The issue popped up when I activated AMP.
I am pretty sure it’s a YOAST problem and I have also posted on their board, as I mentioned, but no answer on their side so far.

Here is a more clear error message: https://i.imgur.com/elMuEjc.png

I’ve been unable to recreate the same issue after further testing, including with WP Rocket. I’m using Yoast 15.1.2 as opposed to your 15.1.1.

Do you have any other sites or a staging site which you can check with?

    (@arafail)

Yes, I do have a staging environment that acts the same way.
How would you like to proceed?

    Thread Starter arafail

    (@arafail)

I have managed to track the problem down to a draft.js issue.
Please tell how I can send you login data for the staging website.
    Thanks!

    Hello!
I have managed to fix the problem.
It was indeed an AMP component issue, but I found a way to resolve the problem and keep all of the plugins active.
    Thank you for the support!

Good to know, thanks for the update. Out of curiosity what was the component used, or did you make some modifications which caused the conflict?
