Why would this plugin affect adding items to the cart? Can you give any reason?

I suspect the issue is caused by a third-party plugin, as we’re not aware of any widespread problems of this kind. A conflict test would likely reveal which plugin is at fault. Check if the issue persists in a basic environment after disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments.
