Issue with Updating Admin Checkbox Field

My admin checkbox field won’t update when a product is saved. When I uncheck the box and click “update” for the product and review the product options the checkbox is checked. Can you look into what may be causing this error?

Also, feature request – I’d like to be able to set a default option for the checkbox field (checked or unchecked)
