Issue with the topbar default page menu

I tried (on a test server) updating Hueman from version 3.3.7 and now I get this blank semi-transparent colored bar on the top of the site. If I disable the option “Topbar menu : Use a default page menu if no menu has been assigned.” the bar is gone and the site is back to normal.

Am I missing something? Is this option supposed to list all the sites’ pages? Because it isn’t working. I manage a multisite network and it happens on all three sites that use the theme.

To the devs, is there any chance you would reconsider and make this new option disabled by default, so it won’t change the layout of existing sites?
