    Hey guys,

I’m having an issue with several websites that use Elementor forms widget. Can you please check?

Verification failed. – this is the error I’m getting when I’m trying to send a message.

I’d really appreciate if you could check this as soon as possible!

Update: contact form 7 has the same issue!

Update 2: the issue is related to the spam filter. If I leave only the captcha without the spam filter, there’s no issue with both elementor and contact form 7 forms.

Hi, re-tested with Elementor Pro (3.26) and Contact Form 7 (6.0) and everything works fine. If the submissions fail only when the SpamFilter is activated, it’s probably just because the message is classified as spam. You can check the developer console in the browser and inspect requests to the SpamFilter to see the classification. For the paid customers, request logs are available in the app.

The SpamFilter might not be suitable for the type of form you have, so if it keeps failing, I would recommend using captcha-only.

What do you mean by “classified as spam”? I’m the user that trying to send a message. Is it possible to test this? It’s quite weird.

Hi, that’s how the SpamFilter works – it classifies data and tells you whether it’s likely spam or not. To learn more about how it works, please read the documentation here: https://altcha.org/docs/api/spam-filter-api/

To test it and to resolve your issue, please check the response from the SpamFilter as mentioned in my previous reply, which tells you exactly why it was classified as spam.

    Hey again,

Why does the system classify my message as spam just because I’m the one sending it? Does it consider me a “spam sender” due to specific patterns or behaviors in my messages?

As mentioned already, you can check the developer console in the browser and inspect requests to the SpamFilter to see the classification which tell you exact reasons, why is it classified as spam.
