Issue with tha change of provider

    Hi,

    I’m moving some websites to a new server. One of them is correctly running after the movement.

    The other one, after moving on the new server, gives the page of a new installation of wordpress instead of the home page.

    I have changed configurations on the wp-config.php several times following the new provider guide and taking the name of old db user and db password.

    I have also tried to change passwords (on wp.config.php and on the new database user), but it appears the installation page again.

  • It might be simplest to delete the website which is not working and transfer it again. There is a plugin called DUPLICATOR witch is highle regarded doing this.

    Otherwise review your database tables using phpmyadmin, is your expected imported content present ?

    Thanks for your advices.

    I’ve just discovered that my new hosting provider has different procedures in managing wordpress hosting than the previous one.
