• I have two teams that have switched conferences (leagues) this year. Here is an example of my issue:

    Steelers – AFC conference and now moving to NFC conference
    Eagles – NFC conference and now moving to AFC conference

    Both the Steelers and the Eagles now have AFC and NFC leagues associated to them in the backend under their team profiles so history and stats are preserved for each team.

    If the old league is removed, then all the teams history and stats for last year disappear as well as players stats tied to any events with that team. If the old league is kept there and the new league added as well, all history and stats stay in tact.

    THE ISSUE: I have a Stat Leaders page showing top 5 passing yards leaders for AFC and NFC leagues for 2019. One of the players for the Steelers now shows up in both the AFC and NFC leaderboards because both conferences are tied to the player and team. If one conference is removed from the player or team, they lose history and stats. How can this be resolved without losing history?

    Hello @rochesterj and @savvasha ,

    Here is a URL to the stage site showing the issue:

    Passing leaders and Passing TD leaders for both leagues show Dennis Odom and it shows he is playing for two different teams even though his most recent team is Kings and that team is ONLY in the Mountain conference (league).

    I can think of two ways to resolve this issue (not sure exactly how easy either option will be):

    1. Make a Current and Past league option for teams and players. That way if a team or player switches leagues for the season, a Current and Past league can be assigned and it will not skew any outputs in the future should they need to change again. This is the only option missing that can make this a more stronger plugin.

    2. Enable the “All, Current, Past” option for All Teams under Player lists similar to how it is enabled when we select one individual team. Currently, when I select an individual team and then select ALL as the option, it reads the team assigned to the individual player for a specific year and ONLY displays them for that team for that year. Enabling the “All, Current, Past” option for All Teams under Player Lists would then allow me to select All Teams in a league and set the Option to All which would then read the teams assigned to each individual player for that specific year. Right now it reads all teams the player has possibly played for in the past and it shows those as valid teams and leagues currently, even though that is not the case.

    Hopefully that makes as much sense to you as it did to me as I was typing it ?? Not sure if I explained it the best, but can try to clarify if need be. Thank you for the help!

    @savvasha I was hoping you would not see that since I did not mark it for a reason lol. I prefer the public forums since they provide much faster response times and usually more context. I have opened a similar ticket with paid support and provided login credentials and one user logged in for 10 min, 24 hours after receiving the information, and I have only had one single response telling me something that doesn’t have anything to do with this, and it has been days since receiving a followup. The public forum has better luck of being seen and someone knowledgeable to answer me.

    I pay for the Pro features of SportsPress, I wish support was included like most companies.

    @savvasha @rochesterj any updates on my tickets? i have not heard back for almost a week now and have sent three replies since. I am reaching out this way as well so more people can see that this is still active, ongoing, and unresolved still and I am begging anyone in the public forum world for any possible suggestions as we have not made much progress… if a free version of sportspress must be in use on the site in order to get actual free support, then we can say we are using mctomahawks.com. Now, how can this be best resolved?

    does the public have any ideas on this? Yes, I have paid support, but they have gone MIA and have not responded in over a week after repeated attempts to get ahold of them on my behalf.. i have an entire league and team I support that have been desperately waiting for a fix to some of these bugs, and I have no updates to provide other than I have heard nothing in over a week..

    please, if anyone in the public can help, it would be immensely appreciated! even willing to throw donations towards a proper suggestion/fix.

    Thanks for your message, but your responses here are a bit misleading.

    We did not leave you without a reply. In fact, I have sent you many ideas on how to build your setup and we are working together on it.

    There aren’t any tickets with no reply from our side (just one active, which is a mirror of this public ticket).

    If you have any issues, please just kindly bump your ticket and we’d be glad to reply. It may not seem like it, but our team has been discussing and working on your ticket for this entire time.

    Like I told you, this isn’t a simple setup issue, so there’s no easy solution. This is actually a bug (or a new feature? I’m not sure) that our dev team is working on at the moment.

    I wish we could have a magic solution for this issue, but there isn’t one. When we use multiple outcomes the streaks won’t work anymore, and we are building a solution to ignore streaks for some of your outcomes.

    So please, kindly keep in mind that there is no setup option that will get around this, and at this point, we are building a solution for this particular issue.
