    Hi,

we are using the plugin for serveral months without any problems. We received the last e-mail on 2019-11-13 from our website.

When I’m using the Email Test, most times it doesn’t work, but in some cases the mail is sent successfully. I can repeat this with 1 or 2 successful mails, but then is fails again.
The server can reach the smtp server and the STARTTLS port is not blocked. Are the any logs we I can see any details why the mail sending fails?
We are using an IIS 8.5, wordpress 5.2.4 and PHP 7.2.22

    Thanks
    Freddy

Update: In the php error logs I find following entries: PHP Warning: stream_socket_enable_crypto(): SSL: The operation completed successfully.
    in [DIRECTORY]\wp-includes\class-smtp.php on line 368

    Hi Freddy,

Currently, we don’t have logs to see any details on why the email sending failed. When your last email fails, the plugin displays some detail with a notice on your dashboard. Could you please share the notice if you have seen it? Alternatively, Your server should have logged the details. Please contact your hosting provider support to see the details on why the operation completed and connection failed.

In case it helps, our Pro version does have the ability to log emails with ‘Sent’ and ‘Not Sent’ status in your database.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sanjeev,

I don’t have the logs from failed sending.

I installed a local smtp relay without encryption which works fine. I tried to reproduce the error with the previous settings, but the error doesn’t occur anymore.

    Thanks,
    Freddy
