I hope someone can help me. Onyx is a commercial theme and I’ve run out of support for it. According to this illustration, there is supposed to be a slides setup option in the WordPress administrator on the left column. It doesn’t appear for me, so I can’t change the order or number of items in the slide presentation. If I can get it back, I think I can rearrange slides.

I’ve looked at the plug in and although I am an experienced developer I can’t seem to figure out how to fix this. There appears to be no option to hide this in the Onyx theme options.

    Any suggestions?

  • Do they have any updates for the theme since you installed? Or have you tried turning off plugins to determine if there is a conflict?

It’s hard to tell if there is an update since it is behind a pay wall. I did disable the plug in and reenabled it and nothing had changed.

There was an earlier instance of a bug that required updating a jQuery library, but I can find nothing on their support forum related to this.

You can try and contact them via email , but you may be having to decide between buying the theme again or choosing something else.

If the slide is the only thing not working, you could install a different slide plugin. There are many. Just make sure and disable the one you currently have.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have sent the company email and hoping they’d give us some slack but basically they’d want us to buy some sort of support contract that would cost at least $49. Onyx is a complex theme, all very integrated, which is both theme and plug in and sort of its own environment, so to use a different slider I’d also have to redesign the entire site. That’s an option, but adds complexities.
