    Hi Maike,

    This is a known bug of which I believe this has already been solved in the Beta of version 2.6.0. The fix is dubbed “Double subdirectory generation in special Site Address URL configurations.”.

    If you wish, you can read all about using the beta it right here. I’m already live-testing it on my network without issues :).

    Otherwise, if you’re contempt with the bug, I’d suggest to wait a little longer until the stable release is out.
    Or, if you’re worried, I’d suggest using this sitemap plugin. It should work as intended.
