Issue with showing only products from one category

  • Hello,

    I’m using WC Product table lite on a bilingual website. I have the Pro version on another site, but for this one I thought the lite version was enough. But I’m running into an issue. So I’m using WPML, and I made “Product Tables (wc_product_table)” translatable.

    On the French page, I’m showing the same table multiple times but showing different categories. For example :
    Guides
    [product_table id=”2570″ category=”guides”]

    Affiches
    [product_table id=”2570″ category=”affiches”]
    etc.

    And this works well.

    On the English page, I’m doing the same, like this:

    Guides
    [product_table id=”4038″ category=”guides-en”]

    Posters
    [product_table id=”4038″ category=”posters”]
    etc.

    But on this English page, it seems it is not taking the categories into account. It instead shows all products regardless of category. Again, I’m just encountering this on the English page. Do you know what can cause this?

    I did not provide the URL because this is on staging site with a username and password, but I could provide this to you privately if there is a way to do that.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

    Integration with WPML is a premium version feature only. You will need WooCommerce Product Table PRO for this.

    Please do not make the ‘product table’ post type (wc_product_table) translatable as that does not help. You just need to keep one product table and use the same shortcode on different language pages.

    Ok, it wasn’t clear for me that Pro was needed for this because in the Pro features, it only says “While the WooCommerce related content of the table will be translated using WPML, you may have other text within the table UI that is not translate using WPML.”

    At my end all text was translatable so that didn’t seem to be an issue here. So with the Pro version, the table categories will work in English as well? If so, I will inform my client of this.

    Yes, that is correct. The PRO version will support the shortcode category option with WPML.
