issue with search terms in activity page ( buddy press)

    Hello,
    Thank you so much for this wonderful plugin.

    If I search for a term that in activity page it jump to the page says “Site

    No posts found. Try a different search?”

    BUT, if I go back to activity page the term is highlighted. Would you please help me to figure out how to stay in activity page and not jump out of it?

    Hi wp-newbee, welcome to WordPress ??

    Your issue sounds like a problem with WordPress internal search function, not my plugin.

    This Activity page is part of BuddyPress? The WordPress internal search usually does not cover this kind of ‘plugin generated’ pages and so it will not show up in search results. And when there are no results, WordPress throws an “No posts found” page… I suspect that when you deactivate the higlighting plugin, the same search will still return this “No posts found” page.

    For questions about how to allow searching on BuddyPress pages you should be able to get help on the BuddyPress forum.

    Thank you for your respond.
    You are right, if use internal search from word press still throws “No posts found” page, but when I am using your plugin at least the terms are highlighted on the activity page, although it throws an “No posts found” page.

    Hi Azita,

    It seems you are not the only one looking for Search to include BuddyPress pages. A quick search on the internet revealed some candidate solutions but there may be more/better ones…
