    Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with scheduling sale prices on my WooCommerce site. The problem manifests when the sale is supposed to start. Although the original product price is correctly shown as crossed out, the sale price is not displayed. Instead, the original price is shown again.

When I edit the product when it’s scheduled to be on sale, edit the sale price and save the product, the sale price is shown correctly. The problem definitely has something to do with the scheduling itself.

    To provide more context:

    1. I have already generated a status report, which can be found here: https://pastebin.com/HkMYqDDj
    2. All plugins have been deactivated and reactivated to check for conflicts.
    3. WP-cron is functioning correctly.
    4. The website is multilingual using WPML.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? Any guidance on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Best regards

  • Hi @maartenemmerink

I understand that you’re experiencing an issue with scheduled sale prices where the sale price isn’t showing, right?

I’m experiencing an issue with scheduling sale prices on my WooCommerce site. The problem manifests when the sale is supposed to start. Although the original product price is correctly shown as crossed out, the sale price is not displayed. Instead, the original price is shown again.

Can you please share with us a screenshot on how it shows when the issue happens? You may use https://snipboard.io when sharing screenshots. Please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in your reply.

On the other hand, given that your website is multilingual using WPML, there are a few things that could potentially cause this issue.

Can you please check any logs from the WPML plugin? Please share logs found under WooCommerceStatusLogs.

I also see from your system report that you are using WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency, can you confirm that you’ve also deactivated this and still having the issue?

The issue could also be related to your theme. If you’ve tried deactivating all plugins, but haven’t tried with your theme yet, I recommend switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One or Storefront, to see if the problem persists.

    Looking forward to your response!

    Hi,

Thank you for the detailed response. Here’s the requested information:

    1. Screenshots: I’ve taken screenshots showing the issue in the product table in the backend and on the product page. You can find them here: https://snipboard.io/4Kpvmn.jpg
    2. WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual Logs: I’ve checked the logs under WooCommerce → Status → Logs and didn’t find any errors related to WPML or the WooCommerce Multilingual plugin.
    3. Staging Environment: I’m currently setting up a staging environment to test by deactivating the theme and plugins. This is to ensure that our live site visitors do not experience any disruptions during this troubleshooting process.
    4. Sale Price Display Issue: I’ve confirmed that adjusting the sale price while a schedule is active displays the price correctly. The issue seems to arise specifically when a sale price schedule becomes active.
    5. Difficulty in Reproducing the Issue: One challenge I’m facing is the difficulty in reproducing the issue, as it only occurs with scheduled sales. I have to wait at least a day to see if any changes fix the problem. Do you have any suggestions for more efficient testing in this scenario?
    6. Similar Issues on Forums: I’ve come across several forum posts from users experiencing the same issue, but I haven’t found any solutions. Are you aware of any cases where this issue was successfully resolved?

I appreciate your assistance and look forward to any further guidance you can provide.

    Best regards

    Same here.

I have even done all the testing on fresh install with just woocommerce plugin on. Seems to be a problem with wc_scheduled_sales function in /includes/wc-product-functions.php
