    Dear WooCommerce Support,

I am encountering an issue with the [sale_products] shortcode on my website. I sell variable products, and some variations of these products have a discount (e.g., a sale price). However, when one variation of a product has a discount and the other variations do not, the entire product does not appear in the sale products list, even though the discounted variation is correctly set up.

I understand that the shortcode likely checks all variations of a product, but I would like to know if there is a solution to ensure that products with some variations on sale still appear in the sale products list.

I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

    Hi there!

By default, the shortcode?[sale_products]?displays the variable product if even one variation of the product has a sale price. For testing purposes, I have added the shortcode on my test site, and I can see the variable product is appearing if a single variation has a sale. Here is the URL of my test site where it’s working fine: [Test Site](https://shahzeen-testing.mystagingwebsite.com/test/).

To assist you further, could you please share a screenshot of exactly where you have set the sale price for the variation and for which product you have set the sale price that is not appearing when you use that code? Also edit the page where you have added the short code and share the screenshot of the shortcode you have added. You can use the following free tool to take the screenshot: (https://snipboard.io).

Also, I’d like to understand your site properly, Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Download for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please upload it to this chat.

    Thank you

And here’s a screenshot of the page where I’ve added the shortcode:

Additionally, I’ve included the system status of my site for more context:

Thank you in advance for your help in resolving this issue.

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the screenshot. I can see that you’re using the Flatsome UX Builder on your site, which may be causing the issue.

For testing purposes, could you please create a new page without activating the Flatsome Builder, and try adding the shortcode using the WordPress shortcode block? Check if you still face the same issue.

Alternatively, please try deactivating the Flatsome Builder and see if the issue persists. I would also suggest creating a staging site, deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce, and adding the shortcode on a new page to see if the issue remains. For more details on how to run a conflict test, you can refer to this article: How to test for conflicts.

Let me know how that goes!

correct I had also placed the shortcode of flatsome and tested it individually. ignore flatsome for a moment that is not the issue. I have already done everything you have done before I asked support. have been working with wordpress and wc for more than 10 years so I have already followed the advice before I contacted. would you still like to see what the problem is? simple product and variable product with all discounts with sub variations works only if a variable product has a variation action then not

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing the details of your issue. I understand how frustrating it can be to troubleshoot problems like this.

Currently, I’m unable to replicate the issue on my own site, which suggests there may be a specific setting or plugin on your site causing the problem.

Since you mentioned already following the basic troubleshooting steps, could you please confirm if you’ve tested by deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and switching to a default theme like Storefront? This can help identify if the issue persists with just WooCommerce active.

If the problem still occurs, please create a ticket at WooCommerce.com Support so we can access your site and troubleshoot the issue further. To do this:

    1. Make sure your site is connected to your WooCommerce.com account (instructions here: Connect Your Site to Your Account).
    2. Once connected, log in to your WooCommerce.com account and submit a support request via the support tab: Contact Support.

Please make sure to include the link to this support thread in the forums and specifically mention that you were instructed to open a ticket with us by Happiness Support. This will ensure your request is properly directed and prioritized as it involves a core issue.
