I’ve encountered an issue while using your plugin to rename themes. When I activate a child theme and attempt to rename it, the renaming works as expected for the child theme. However, the parent theme retains its original name and does not get renamed. After multiple tests, I’ve observed that the plugin only seems to rename the currently active theme, whether it’s a parent or child theme, but does not apply the renaming to the inactive parent theme. This appears to be a bug in the plugin’s functionality. Could you please investigate and address this issue? Thank you!

    ??Hi Andi,

Would you mind sending us a screenshot with the setup you have on WP Ghost for renaming the theme?

Also, what is the name for both the active and inactive theme?

Last thing, please go to Mapping > Text Mapping and add a log to rename the inactive theme to something else. Find more here under Step 3. Add New Text Mapping: https://wpghost.com/kb/text-mapping/

Thank you so much! For example, if you activate the Flatsome Child theme, it means it will use some CSS or images from the parent theme, Flatsome. Your plugin will change the name of “flatsome-child” to a random name, but it will not change the name of the parent theme, Flatsome.

Please try adding a Text Mapping for Flatsome and let us know how it goes.

For a visual representation click here to see a video recording on how to do it.

Note! You can set anything instead of random-name, that is just a suggestion.

It seems the feature is not functioning as expected. This functionality is specifically designed to work with classes or IDs.

Please go to Squirrly SEO > Technical SEO > Import & Data > Rollback Plugin > Reinstall Current Version and give it another try as we made an update that should take care of this.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

My apologies for the last message as it looks like I mixed up my tabs.

Please go to WPG Dashboard, download the latest version of the plugin and replace it on your website, and give it another go.
