Issue with Quotes And Slashes in Custom Dimensions Field

    We have a custom field of “Dimensions” that is causing a javascript error on the front-end (https://www.ouartgallery.org/the-new-collection/catalog/). It looks like having a double quote ” for inches in the dimensions is causing a bug where it keeps escaping the quotes, so if you keep saving a product that has ” for inches in the dimensions custom field, it will keep adding backslashes. So some products are like this now,

    8 1\/2\\\\\” x 11\\\\\\”.

    And that’s what’s causing the unexpected identifier error on the front-end. This causes further JS errors when using the filter options on the menu. Any help in mitigating this error without upgrading would be preferable. We are in the process of updating all custom field to just use decimal and “.in” instead of “, but would like to safeguard it from happening in the future. Any help would be really appreciated!
