Issue with plugin “ PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce”

We are experiencing the same issue. When I review the invoices created yesterday, they display strange characters. Today, they appear blank, or the PDF cannot be opened. This issue only affects the invoices sent by email and does not occur with the invoices in the admin system.

It could be related with the plugin’s fonts. This often happens when you migrate your site, or when you or a cleanup process accidentally delete the plugin temp folder, located under wp-content/uploads, maybe one of these things happened recently?

To try to solve this, please go to WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Advanced > Tools?tab, and click on the?Reinstall plugin fonts button. Then, try to open an existing invoice and check if it looks good.

I’m sorry but solutions didn’t work. Now invoices only show header, no body text. (just blank page with header image).

This issue only affects the invoices sent by email and does not occur with the invoices in the admin system. In the WP-admin system, pdf invoices open correctly. The pdf-invoices attached to the e-mail sent to customer and to shop-owner however are blank or have very strange characters.

Please investigate issue and find a fix.

I tried to reproduce the issue with the latest release, but everything is working fine on my side.

That said, please go to?WooCommerce > Status > System Status, click on?Get system report, then click on?Download for support, attach the file on?https://www.file.io/, and finally paste the download link in a reply here (the file will be deleted after the first download, so please don’t try to download it yourself).

I have also tried reinstall plugin fonts and it dit not solve the issues. Some pdf have strange caracters instead of the bold text, some is just blank and some i cant open the pdf. I activated the “Debug” mode and can see that when order-notification mail is created with pdf invoice attached, a 200:ParseError occurs in the PDF Invoice plug in.

I’ve reinstalled all lettertypes but nothing changes. ParseError is still cause that no pdf-invoice is correctly attached. When clicking on the attached pdf-invoice, you receive error that file is either in wrong format or damaged and can’t be opened.

This is the error the customer and shop manager receives when trying to open the pdf-invoice attached to the order mail of WooCommerce.

Adobe Acrobat could not open “invoice-2025_01_165.pdf” because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded).

To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog.

Making a staging takes so long. This must be solved.

@knutselateljee could you also check the WooCommerce logs to see if there are errors with the?wpo-wcpdf?or?fatal-errors?prefix? If so, please share the logs with us. You’ll find the logs under?WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

No issues whatever in wcpdf or fatal-errors prefix in the WooCommerce Logs. fatal-errors-prefix doesn’t even exist. Wcpdf logs only shows reinstallation of the fonts as requested in the support ticket a few days ago.
