Issue With Page Title Bar Updating Per Month

The Events Calendar function fits exactly what I need but the page title bar has an issue. Preferably, I’d like to change the text completely in the page title bar to just say “OCC Events” (and not have any months or additional information display). If this is not doable, I can live with what it currently says.

The issue MAIN is, whenever you use the navigation arrows to scroll month to month, the page title bar doesn’t change appropriately. For example, when I go to September using the arrows, the page title bar continues to say August.

Now, when I click on the drop down and click on any month (for example, December), the page title bar still says August BUT if I refresh the page, it adjusts to say the new month (in this instance, December).

Is this a glitch in the plugin? Or is it meant to do this? I tried reading documentation on where to edit the page template directly but it was a bit difficult to understand (so please do not suggest referencing it). IF possible, if someone can help a little more details OR at least give me some direction, I may be able to figure it out from there.
