• Hi,

I installed a fresh WP 4.1.1 server, and there seems to be a problem with page editing. The text appears in white like it the screenshot attached:

Does anyone else have this issue?

  • TinyMCE isn’t loading properly. In my experience this is usually caused by a JavaScript conflict caused by a plugin or theme. Try updating all your plugins. If that doesn’t help, deactivate all your plugins and reactivate one by one until the issue returns (assuming it disappeared). Then you can contact the developer for help, or turn it off.

I’m afraid TinyMCE is not installed. It’s a clean WP installation, no plugins installed..

TinyMCE is part of WP – how did you install WP? And on what host or server?

Oh, I think it used to be a separate plugin back in V3. I installed the server from GoDaddy template.
I think this thread is explaining the same problem I have:

I don’t see any visual editor. What am I missing?

There are TinyMCE plugins, yes, but it appears that the editor in your WP install is not working?

I doubt your issue is the same as that thread – given that you have a brand new installation and no plugins, right?

First look under your user profile to see if the visual editor is disabled there.

I installed the server from GoDaddy template.

Do you mean that you used the GoDaddy installer for WP?

Do you have ALL plugins deactivated and a default theme active?

    Yes.

I have all plugins deactivated and a default theme active.

Could you post a link to your site?

Have you looked under your user profile to see if the visual editor is disabled there?

The visual editor is not disabled under user profile.
    The link is: https://newage.marketteer.com

It looks like a normal WP website, except when editing pages I can’t even switch between visual editor and text editor. Clicking on visual/text I get no reaction.

Since that’s a brand new installation, sounds like you should try reinstalling WP. See if doing it from the Dashboard works.
