    Hello there,

    I have an issue with my generated sitemap, it look like there is some tags opening and closing without any information inside. This leads to an error in the google search console :

    “This URL is incorrect. Correct it and try again”

    I tried to regenerate several times the sitemap, but unfortunately it did not work. It keep generating those empty tags at the end :

    </sitemap><sitemap><loc></loc></sitemap>

    You can see the entire sitemap down bellow :

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" ?><sitemapindex xmlns="https://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"> <sitemap> <loc>https://www.em-grade.com/page-sitemap.xml</loc> <lastmod>2023-09-26T08:31:55+00:00</lastmod> </sitemap> <sitemap> <loc>https://www.em-grade.com/product-sitemap.xml</loc> <lastmod>2023-10-05T06:57:49+00:00</lastmod> </sitemap> <sitemap>
    <loc>https://www.em-grade.com/product_cat-sitemap.xml</loc>
    <lastmod>2023-10-05T06:57:49+00:00</lastmod>
    </sitemap><sitemap><loc></loc></sitemap></sitemapindex>

    Do you know how could I fix this issue ?
    Is there way to correct it manually ? If so, what’s the path of this sitemap_index.xml ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Hello @screenup

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap. It’s likely that another plugin is conflicting by partially adding content. Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

    Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

    If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

    If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.
