Issue with map Zoom
-
When setting the zoom on a map, it appears to be ignored on the frontend and will zoom randomly to whatever it thinks it should be.
When I go back to the map in the list and check, the zoom has changed from what I had set it at and I have to change it again every time I make changes in the map
Can this be looked at please as this is rather annoying having to do it. I set it at a specific zoom for a reason and I don’t want the plugin deciding for me what it should be
Backend zoom set to 10: https://snipboard.io/dt6s8I.jpg

Backend zoom changed automatically: https://snipboard.io/JykZxE.jpgEvery time I go in, the zoom is changed from what I set it. Please look into this bug.
Also, how do I style it so there is a margin below the map as it doesn’t give any space below the map and it looks untidy?

I am having to put a br between the bottom of the map and the text I want to enter and I shouldn’t have to add this unnecessary lineThank you

Hello, @wilcochris
Please contact us through our internal support. We will help you to solve the problem.
Regards,
Ole
I’ve done this but still have not had a response. I have emailed with some questions and I am looking to upgrade to a lifetime plan but if it takes 3 weeks to still be waiting to get questions answered before I upgrade you clearly don’t want my business.
Do you guys actually want new customers or not?
Please, it’s been 6 weeks and no sort of response. I am willing to spend my money with you but you can’t even respond to an email with simple questions
Make that now TWO MONTHS with 0 contact. These guys obviously don’t want my money. Or yours. Just give up with them. Look for a plugin with better support and communication
Hello.
I apologize from the whole team for this situation.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find a ticket from you in our Zendesk. Please email me directly at [email protected] and I will take your ticket under control.
Send an email they said
We’ll take control of the email they said
We couldn’t find a ticket they said (even though I was replying to a zendesk email with the ticket number on it)
I emailed. I explained the issues I was having. I also asked several questions about the plugin and lifetime license
Their takeaway from it was that the free and pro versions I have installed are not compatible. They completely ignored all the questions I asked
They also answered a question about heatmaps when I asked a question about polylines
Sums these devs up quite perfectly really. They should be in politics!
I still don’t have answers to my questions. They want your money and once they have it they don’t care about supporting you – this is evidenced when I bought the plugin and asked a support question about it – several years later I still have no answer to that question despite asking several times.
You’d be better off finding a different plugin and using that and staying away from these greedy devs!Yep… 11 days and still no response to me clarifying what was required.
It’s clear they want your money but don’t want to help and will spout any old rubbish that they think you want to hear and don’t answer questions properly. It’s quite clear these guys have issues reading and a reading class is suggested for them.
Seriously avoid these devs and spend your money elsewhere. Don’t give them anything and let them fizzle out!I am sorry that you have a bad impression of the plugin and the company. I for my part really want to help you. When you asked why the functionality you need does not work, I answered that you need to install the PRO version correctly. To do this, update your free version to the latest one. You replied that there is a problem with it. But you did not specify what the problem is. My mistake was that I didn’t specify whether the problem was solved – that’s why there was no answer for a long time, because I thought you found a solution to install the free version and everything worked. Let’s try it first – write to me and I will see the reason why the latest free version is not installed correctly.
I sent you a lengthy email as to the issues I was experiencing and sent you several questions in the same email.
You responded saying that the versions I had are not compatible. You DIDN’T answer ANY of my questions. You also answered a question about heatmaps when I didn’t ask about that. I asked about polylines not workingMy email to you

Subject: Google Maps Easy Question
Importance: High Good evening, Thank you for finally coming back to me on the support forum on WordPress. I will add my question here and then attach the emails so you can determine why these weren’t added to tickets for you to see. ORIGINAL QUESTION Good evening, I am running into further issues with your plugin and I would like to start using it again (you are the best I have found). When I try to add polylines to the map, it will show them in the map preview but they don’t save and a blank error pops up that is less that helpful (see attached image) Can you offer any suggestions on how to get the error message to show? I have tried to see if there is any text in there but there is nothing that show. The plugin version is 1.11.7 I can’t currently update this as it will break the functionality that I already have in the maps I have created and my site throws the PHP errors listed in this email thread. Can I expect that if I purchase a new license that both versions of the plugin will work and will not provide the error shown in this thread? I have attached some pics of what happens and a copy again of some of the errors. Errors: Error Details An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 413 of the file /home/xxxxx/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/google-maps-easy/modules/gmap/views/gmap.php. I would be interested in purchasing a lifetime license and I was wondering if you would be able to offer me some sort of discount on the price? When I first purchased the license back in 2020, I logged an issue on ticket 32227 and by 12 November 2021 a fix was still not presented or implemented. Given the troubles I had as a new customer and the fact that after nearly 2 years my support request was practically ignored I think a goodwill gesture is warranted. I am happy to go back to your plugin (as I say, it is the best I have found for my needs) but would like some acknowledgement of the issues I have faced when submitting support requests. Hi.
According to the error message, you have the old PRO version installed together with the new free version.
They are not compatible. The heatmap option is fully functional with the new free version and the latest PRO version. Please clarify this point.Do you see how you just totally ignored my questions? Did you see how you answered about heatmaps where I didn’t even ask about that. Did you see where I already clarified what the issue was? This is what I am talking about. I am posting this here so people can see what I am trying to deal with and how you just totally ignore the questions I asked
I apologize for mistakenly calling Polylines – Heatmap. This is because they are related. The main question for us now is whether you have managed to install the latest free version and whether you need help with it. To understand if Polylines functionality works for you.
For its work you need PRO version of the plugin and it is compatible with the latest Free version. So now the problem we see is that you have incompatible versions, and therefore the functionality you’re writing about doesn’t work.
I think I have made my point now.
If you need our help – I am ready to help you.
You have STILL completely glossed over my questions
1. Can I expect that if I purchase a new license both versions of the plugin will work and will not provide the error shown in this thread?
2. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get the error message (with regards to the polyline) to show? I have tried to see if there is any text in there but there is nothing that shows.
You haven’t said that having updated versions of both pro and free will be compatible and all errors will be resolved. I cannot install the latest free version because it breaks ALL of my other maps. I have said this several times to you in previous emails and you have NEVER responded to advise that the errors will be resolved.
What I definitively need to know is that updating the free version and getting the latest pro version will resolve all errors and will ensure the maps I already have will not break. This is the fundamental question I need answered and this is the answer I am not getting1. Can I expect that if I purchase a new license both versions of the plugin will work and will not provide the error shown in this thread?
The latest free version and the latest PRO version work fine with Polylines. At least on the test environment we don’t see any problems. We can give you the PRO version free for one month.
2. Can you offer any suggestions on how to get the error message (with regards to the polyline) to show? I have tried to see if there is any text in there but there is nothing that shows.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what the cause is yet.
Create a ticket and we will work on this issue on your site.

Then you should understand why the update is breaking the other maps. I can assume that you update the free version while the old PRO version is active and you get an error. But that’s just a guess. We need to look into it.

You’re asking me to answer a question I can’t answer. I can guarantee that there have been no complaints on the test environment, our live site, or other customer sites. I suggest that you create a ticket and we work together to resolve this issue directly on your site.
Anyway, let’s deal with the problem.
