    Podcast Importer SecondLine Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.I am reaching out to seek assistance with an issue I am experiencing while using the Podcast Importer SecondLine Plugin. Specifically, when I attempt to import posts from the Libsyn dashboard, the process does not correctly import the Libsyn audio files or the URLs included in the description. Instead, the plugin defaults to displaying the standard WordPress audio player.

Here are the details of the issue:

    • Plugin Version: Version 1.5.0
    • WordPress Version: Version 6.0.9
    • Libsyn Dashboard URL: https://four.libsyn.com/
    • Description of Issue: Imported posts from Libsyn do not reflect the Libsyn audio files or URLs. The posts instead show the default WordPress audio player, which is not intended.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? Any assistance or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    investor

Hey, sorry for the delay! Didn’t get notified for some reason.

If you’re trying to import the Libsyn audio player, you’d have to use the /include-libsyn-metadata=true param on your RSS feed URL. (example: https://feed-url.com/?include-libsyn-metadata=true)

This would ensure the embed player is imported properly. (also make sure to enable the “Import Embed” option in the plugin’s settings)

Thank you for the information! I’m now able to get the Libsyn audio player to display correctly using the /include-libsyn-metadata=true parameter. However, I’ve noticed that the text with links in the podcast description is not syncing properly.
I’ve attached screenshots to illustrate the issue. As you can see, the link text is present in the original podcast “https://prnt.sc/ndi4uiV3CUaD“, but it does not appear after importing “https://prnt.sc/u0UmA4InaYc6“.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks for your help!

Hard to tell without seeing the feed itself, but you can try switching the Imported Content Tag option of the plugin. (either content:encoded or description should work).

Could be that your host doesn’t include HTML in one or the other.
