• Recently, we experienced issues with image ratios on mobile. For example, we upload an image, 1000×660 to WordPress and leave everything as it is. In this scenario, image is okay.

BUT, when we start customizing image’s width and height, image gets messed up. Namely, the image should be same but it is not showing the same: https://techcrawlr.com/test-article/

    Thank you very much!

Aspect ratios are the same in WordPress editor (both 1000×668), but first image is left with Auto and second is manually set to 1000×668. From what I understand, in the first case (auto – 1000×668) WordPress will resize both dimensions to fit the screen (mobile and desktop). And in second scenario (manually set to 1000×668), WordPress will leave height at 668 and change the width, resulting in image not showing correctly? Did I get this right?

    Thank you very much again!

I’ve found what the issue is. We’ve reverted WordPress to 6.2. and the issue is goneNamely with WordPress 6.3.0 release, a new feature was added. It added “Aspect Ratio” settings option to Image Block. Now, all images that have width set to “Auto” and height set to some custom value get oddly resized. Does anyone know what to do? How to fix this in the newest version?
