• I’m having issues with my host who apparently communicate properly. This may not be relevant to this forum but since this is my wordpress directory, I’m hoping someone here can help me. Here’s what my host said:

Your hosting account has been investigated by our administrators due to excessive load/high resource utilization which includes high CPU utilization and memory consumption.

We have determined that based on the excessive resource utilization your account is not a good fit for our shared hosting environment. The pages in questions are:

    eyamane divabenefits.com 52.0 /usr/bin/php /home/eyamane/public_html/wp-cron.php
    eyamane divabenefits.com 48.0 /usr/bin/php /home/eyamane/public_html/index.php
    eyamane divabenefits.com 26.5 /usr/bin/php /home/eyamane/public_html/wp-cron.php

    *******

They are telling me to check the processes and reduce them, but I have no clue how to do it. Can anybody help me?

They are telling you that this script wp-cron.php is using to much of server cpu as you are limited the connection time on server so you need to check where that script came from as is not wordpress script.

May be you installed a plugin that created the script.

Thanks govpatel.. but how do I check where it came from?

Do have any backup plugin if you list your plugins will help.

Yes I have WordPress Database Backup. Do you need a full list of plubins?

how long did you have that plugin is it installed recently if so it could be the one that is causing the problem you could ask your host if that the case.

I’ve had it for 1.5 year so that couldn’t be it. I see some of the recently modified (meaning updated, I’m guessing) plugins are Clicky, Google, SI Contact Form, Jetpack. I haven’t installed anything new in a couple of months.

@nontechblogger: wp-cron.php is a very normal cron used by WP for posting and backups. I doubt that’s the problem.

mochahost.com is a known slow/problematic host that can’t handle moderate amounts of traffic. The fact that index is also flagged as a CPU hog points to that. How many hits/day does the site get?

I know Song Dog, I’m so sick of Mocha. I’m actually in a process of moving my site. I don’t get that many traffic currently. I also just deleted the plugins I wasn’t using. Would that make any difference?

Not really. But it might to get you through until you can move. Bluehost.com is a good host. See Moving WordPress ? WordPress Codex

Grrrrr! I was planning on moving to Host Gator but it looks like Bluehost is faster.
