Issue with frontpage

This might be stupid thing but I cannot seem to solve it. I have set front page as static and everything works fine EXCEPT other language front page.
The setup is now like this:
Pages are:
https://www.domain.com/pagename
https://www.domain.com/pagename_in_other_languageSo the first one is the real home page but when changing to secondary language from selector, it tries to go https://www.domain.com/languagecode which does not exist it just reloads the primary language page with that new url instead of secondary language front https://www.domain.com/front_in_other_language
