    Hello,

If I select to display a static page, choose a page and then Save/Publish; the change is not displayed and then when I try to access the site I get a “This page has a redirect loop” message.

It may be coincidence but the problem started after I installed a child theme. However, the problem persists even after re-activating the original theme.

Has anybody else out there run into this problem?

    Cheers

    Peter

Hi Peter, this problem has never been reported yet. Can you please check if you have a plugin in conflict with theme?
    Thanks for your feedback!

    Hi nikeo,

To check for conflicts would I deactivate all of the plugins first, then test the front page customization, and if it works add back each plugin one by one?

I really like the theme – it makes for a very professional looking site.

    Thanks

    Peter

Found it. The problem is being caused by a plugin named WP Page Extension V1.1 by Daddy Design. The plugin is useful because it enables me to name my pages with a .html extension. Is there another plugin that does the same thing but is compatible with Customizr?

    Thanks

    Peter

Why not just add it with a custom permalink? This page shows how.

[And of course, there’s the inevitable question of why you want to do this in the first place …]

Thanks for the link. I installed the plugin, even though it’s older than the previous plugin, and I no longer have any problem with front page customization. As to the “why”, there arguments for and against; I just happen to like the permanent look.

Thanks again for all of your help.

    Peter
