Issue with Forum Roles Not Working in bbPress Style Pack

Dear bbPress Style Pack Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to report an issue I have encountered with the forum roles functionality in the bbPress Style Pack. Until recently, the custom roles I had set for Keymaster and other roles were displaying correctly. However, earlier today, these roles suddenly reverted to the default ones.

To troubleshoot the issue, I updated the plugin to the latest version tonight, but unfortunately, this did not resolve the problem. The custom roles are still not being recognized, and the default roles remain in place.

Could you please provide assistance in resolving this issue? Any guidance or support you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

so is this on updating bbpress or style pack?

I updated Style Pack. I went to disable topic tags and all a sudden the custom roles got reverted to the default ones which is weird that they would turn off. So I seen that an update for the plugin was available for download – I did update the plugin however no luck with fixing the custom forum roles.

Yes I disabled it through the “options-general.php?page=bbpress” Forums Settings > Forum Features section under Admin Dashboard. I did try turning topic tags back but still didn’t fix them, so I turned topic tags back off in the meantime because our Forums aren’t too popular for topic tags at the moment.

ok, so if as a test you re-enable them, do the roles come back ? If they do, this will let me know where to start looking

Can you go to

dashboard>settings>bbp style pack>plugin Information

and scroll down to plugin settings and to Forum Roles and click ‘copy row to clipboard’

and post the result here please

Yes, I have followed these steps, and that is where I set up the custom roles in dashboard > settings > bbp style pack > forum roles.

Additionally, I have the following plugins installed:

• bbP Signature Version 1.4
• reCAPTCHA for bbPress Version 1.0.7 by Hitesh Chandwani

ok, I’m not sure what to suggest next. Do you have caching software? and have you tried it from another device?

For caching we’re using W3 Total Cache Version 2.7.3 | By BoldGrid , LiteSpeed Cache Version 6.2.0.1 | By LiteSpeed Technologies and Jetpack Version 13.5 | By Automattic.

Also yes I have tried clearing cookies and also trying on a private window. Tried on my phone as well however it still is not showing the custom roles only default ones.

Interested in why you have 3 caching plugins though ?
