• First, the upgrade toasted my usage and even a template restore did not fix it. A lot of work still going on to find out how to make it work again like it was… (EDIT: Found the issue here, the templates.css file was written over erasing all of the edits made. Might build in a way for custom setups to have a file that does not get erased on upgrade.)

However, the validator that you are using is not validating valid feeds. https://money.cnn.com/pf/ is a valid feed, however I am getting error messages saying that it is not. Works on the simplepie website you direct us to.

Invalid feed URL – Validate the feed source URL by clicking here and if the feed is valid then go here to learn more about what might be wrong.

————————- Also, on the validator site ————-
    https://feedvalidator.org/check?url=https://money.cnn.com/pf/
The requested URL /check was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

thanks…the template.css could have been saved using a feature launched about a year ago..by going to Template Options in the versions prior to 2.67…if you did not use that, then because all plugins overwrite their files, you would lose any edits you made (which was why I added the feature to save it).

Yes, validator changed their URL and this will be fixed in the next update.

Due to the fail on the validation, it will not download anything into the db for that rss (desired I am sure)… How long until the validation is updated so that it will resume the use of that rss?

On the css, I did use the “Save Templates and CSS” – hence why I assumed it would not get overwritten when I restored. It saved the php file and gave me a snazzy template to choose in the drop down, but did not save the css as well. It might be what you meant to say vs what I understood it to mean thing. Basically, I need to hard code my template css into the file for it to not get written over.

Thanks! By the way, I do like the plugin a lot. The supplied templates made all the difference. I did not have time to learn to template a plugin the way I needed it when I was looking for something – yours were simple and easy to understand and change… Good work!

if it fails validation, the plugin simply won’t bring in any posts from that feed. If you are using 3.0 or above, you can see if the feed isn’t valid by looking at the feed preview. This ability wasn’t present prior to 3.0
