    Hi,

I have just updated to Version: 14.9 but I was seeing this issue for some time now in the earlier version as well.

Once image is added to a product, the Featured image is seen in the mobile snippet preview, however, once you publish the product and then reopen it, this Featured image in the mobile snippet preview is NO LONGER seen.

    Please guide / fix.

    Thanks

    Hello @koolpal,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We find the reported issue quite strange. Can you please share an example URL with us?

@maybellyne This is on my localhost installation.

Also this is seen within the Admin product page when editing -> save -> reopen.

I am not sure how will this been seen on a LIVE url

    Thanks

    Hello @koolpal!

We need more information so we can investigate. Can you please try to reproduce the issue on a site that is online so we can take a look at the specific URL?

@onlyincebu You could check here: https://zephyrs.in/product/brown-and-blue-cotton-kurta-with-pants/

    Hi @koolpal,

We’ve checked the product page you’ve linked but we can’t see any odd things in the Yoast output. We see multiple images configured to be Open Graph images, so those would be used on social.

We tried to reproduce the same behavior but were not able to. When we add a product image to a product, the image appears in our preview, when saving the product, it remains visible in the preview.

Let’s find out why it’s not working on your site.

First off, can you confirm that all your plugins, themes, and WordPress itself are all up to date? If not, please update and check whether the issue persists. If it does, please do a conflict check with the steps found in that link. This way you’d find the culprit that is making Yoast not work as expected.

    Hope this helps.
    Hope you can find

@jeroenrotty After a lot of waste of time trying to isolate this, here are the steps to replicate this issue:

This is common across different themes where I could replicate this issue

    WooCommerce version: 4.5.1
    WordPress version: 5.5.1
Yoast SEO by Team Yoast – 14.9

    1. In Admin, open any product for editing. You will see the Featured image in the mobile snippet preview
    2. Go to screen options and UNCHECK Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality.
    3. Update the Product and you will NOT see the Featured image in the mobile snippet preview
    4. From now on if you open ANY product, the Featured image in the mobile snippet preview will be missing.

CHECKING Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality AGAIN does not restore the Featured image in the mobile snippet preview

    Please guide / fix.

    Thanks

    Hi @koolpal,

Thank you for your troubleshooting and thorough explanation. I’ve immediately did the steps you mentioned on our local site with WooCommerce 4.5.1 and Yoast SEO 14.9 as the only active plugins and while using TwentyTwenty as a theme. I couldn’t replicate this behavior. Whether or not the checkbox Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality. is checked or not and after updating a product or loading another, we always see the featured image in our Yoast metabox. See screenshot here: https://snipboard.io/3LQVPi.jpg.

We are not sure what is different on your site. At the time you were troubleshooting this issue, were there any other WooCommerce plugins activated that hooks into the product editing screen?

Additionally, we would like to know if there are any Javascript errors in your browser console when you edit a product. Having one or multiple might be causing Yoast SEO not to load completely. If you are not familiar with checking the browser console for those errors, we have a help article here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/.

@jeroenrotty Thanks for replying. I will drop this for now. I think I am going round in circles here over something small.
